@Max2385 it doesnt look like it in the video, but the dog is holding his breath and like me or u in water we can open our mouths underwater without drowning..instinctively a dog will pull his or her head out as soon as it seems dangerous to them.. it also depends on the breed of dog.. the one in this vid is a labrador and labs were originally bred for hunting and retrieving water birds like ducks and that. so its in their blood to swim in water. every dog is different tho mine hates water!

Does anyone know how the dog can swim downward toward to bottom of the pool with his mouth open without taking in water and drowning? Is it safe for a dog to do that? Maybe he enjoys doing it and the people get a kick out of it, but the dog and people don’t know that he can get hurt. I’m just curious to know how and if it’s safe. Any dog experts out there?
